Whenever new shows or movies are launched, there are usually some very cool, experiential promotions to go along with them. Unfortunately, only the lucky few people who happen to live in the areas where the promotions are taking place actually get to see them.

That is, unless the advertising agency creating the experience had the foresight to plan a social video to go along with the launch!

To celebrate the debut of Stranger Things 3, 22squared partnered up Netflix and Baskin-Robbins to recreate the Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Shop from the show. They also created a fully functional Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Truck! The shops popped up in Los Angeles and Toronto, while the Ice Cream Truck made stops in LA and NYC.

We used our local crews┬áto shoot, edit, and deliver this awesomely kitschy, 80’s-themed video in less than 24 hours! The result was a massive increase in exposure on both Instagram and Facebook. Check it out below!
